Every year, our New Year’s Eve production at The Savoy stands as one of the highlights of our calendar — and 2025 was no exception. This year’s theme took guests back to the glamour and grandeur of the Roaring Twenties, and our design rose to meet every inch of that brief.
The centrepiece of the room was a large, custom two-tier split stage, designed with a single central staircase that divided into two sweeping flights leading up to balconies on either side — an architectural statement that immediately commanded the room. Beneath each balcony sat purpose-built custom bars, seamlessly integrated into the overall structure and giving guests a natural gathering point without ever breaking the aesthetic. The backdrop brought the whole stage together with a striking custom fan-shaped half-wheel featuring illuminated Savoy branding, set against a full-width centre-pinched custom pinch pleat drape — a nod to the texture and opulence that defined 1920s design. Throughout, the stage was dressed with extensive LED integration and bespoke graphic vinyl wraps, each element considered and crafted to sit authentically within the era.
Footing the stage was a custom gold and green patterned dancefloor, made up of over 50 individual pieces, each laid with precision to achieve the flawless, high-quality finish the Savoy demands. Above it, a fully flown truss rig carried an extensive package of moving lights, spotlights, and wash fixtures alongside a complete audio system — and in keeping with the theme, the truss itself was adorned with hundreds of hand-dressed crystals, catching the light and adding a final layer of elegance to the room.
As always, guests were also treated to a dedicated photo opportunity, this year framed by a custom limewash picture frame backdrop — a beautiful finishing touch to a truly immersive evening.
